First Floor Fitness
The first floor has a range of over 100 pieces of cardiovascular (CV) and fixed weight resistance equipment. CV exercise is a great calorie burner and can help you reduce body fat and lose weight, strengthen your heart, improve your aerobic endurance, lower your blood pressure, improve your appearance and psychological well-being.
The CV equipment includes treadmills, arc trainers, steppers, bikes and concept II rowers. You can work at your own pace, or test your fitness against the many preset programmes on the equipment.
The wide range of resistance machines are designed to help strengthen, tone, shape and firm up all the muscles in your body. But don’t think that resistance training is just for body builders – it can help everyone of any age improve general health and fitness. The benefits of resistance training include stronger joints, tendons and ligaments, more strength and endurance for everyday activities, body fat reduction and increased bone density.
Finally, there is also floor space for exercise to help strengthen your core muscles. We have numerous stability balls to help make your workout more challenging and help improve your posture and abdominal tone. Doing hundreds of sit-ups will not remove body fat covering your abdominals, but as part of a sensible balanced diet and exercise programme, abdominal exercises will improve your stomach tone and overall core muscular strength and ebdurance.
Whatever your fitness goals may be, the fitness team will always be happy to advise you on the use of the equipment to help you get the most out of your workout.
Weights Room
The weights room is located in the ground floor of the building & is fitted to perfection with the latest in Cybex technology. With an un-intimidating air, a wide range of plate loading resistance machines stand alongside an area created especially for our range of uniquely comfortable dumbbells & barbells. These range from 1kg to 50kg’s in weight allowing intensity perfect to suit all levels of strength & endurance. On top of this lies specialist incline, decline, sit up & preacher benches to allow for specific training requirements. With Olympic matting, Sky TV or music of your choice, our fully air conditioned weights
room is ready for you & your expectations!
Whether it’s a forceful drive or simply a helping hand, our friendly & fully focused Instructors are always there to assist you in your quest for the perfect body!
Personal Fitness Programmes
We all exercise for a reason, but if we don’t have a specific goal then how will we ever achieve anything? If we don’t have regular programme reviews how do we track our progress?
A Personal Fitness Programme is designed for you, around your schedule and to help you achieve your goals. The aim of a Personal Fitness Programme is to give you a routine and a workout to follow for up to 8 weeks. It is also there to help you understand how to get the most from your training. All Programmes are written by qualified Fitness Instructors and Personal trainers.
Exercise should be challenging but enjoyable, interesting and fun. You should always leave the gym feeling that you have achieved something in each session, if this has stopped happening then you need to review your Programme.
Regular programme reviews are very important as it will challenge the body in a different direction; they also keep you interested in your training.
All goals can be reached and achieved, its just finding the time and the best workout for you, and that is what a Personal Fitness Programme will help you do.

We will match you to a trainer with the knowledge and expertise to suit your needs; our personal trainers specialize in many different areas of health and fitness, such as weight management, core training, martial arts, sport specifics and injury rehabilitation.
You will be individually assessed on your health and fitness including lung function, flexibility, body composition, muscular strength/endurance and core function. All these will help us to monitor your progress and create the most effective work out for you.
Your personal trainer is there to guide you every step of the way, they will be there to motivate you, set goals, track your progress and educate you on every aspect of your health and fitness making your time in the gym more efficient and fun.

Cardio Theatre
Are you fed up with listening to the same old gym music? Want to listen to your own music, or even watch the TV while you workout!! Then cardio theatre is the way forward and a great way to make your workout fly by. By using cardio theatre you can take advantage of our 8 different channels - we have 4 TV channels for you to choose from including MTV and Sky Sports, 4 different music channels including Radio one and our local radio station, and 2 five CD players. So whether it’s the news, sport, soaps or the music you’re into - we have the right channel for you.
Swimming Pool
Swimming is a fantastic way to improve your fitness levels, tone up, burn fat and lose weight and all without putting pressure on your joints and muscles.
The swimming pool is an eight lane short course tournament pool 25m x 18m with a movable floor at one end. The floor can be adjusted to any depth meaning greater flexibility for a variety of uses such as competitive swimming, water polo, learners and disabled swimmers. There is a small patio and refreshment area overlooking the pool where you can relax. The building maximises the
use of natural light, which makes it appealing to all swimmers, whether recreational or competitive.
Situated within the swimming pool complex the ‘relaxation zone’ provides facilities for hydro jet massage, an infra red warmth cabin and 2 luxury sun beds.
Changing Rooms and Sauna
Our changing rooms have large stylish lockers combined with spacious showering area to enable you to shower and change conveniently. Located in the changing rooms are the saunas where you can relax and unwind after your workout or hard day days work. The sauna experience will leave your body and mind totally replenished and with a clearer mind and healthier body you will be ready to face the world again.
